Certifications & Compliance

We can provide pouch samples and submit them for third-party testing. The relevant documents and tests depend on the materials, intended use and destination market.

Certifications, Audits and Compliance Topics

These standards, audits and regulations address different aspects of fabric bag sourcing. Their scope determines how they apply to an order.

ISO 9001 — Quality Management

ISO 9001 is a quality management system standard. Its coverage is defined by the certificate’s named organization, production site and activities, together with its current status.

amfori BSCI — Social Audits

amfori BSCI uses social audits to assess working conditions at production sites. For bag sourcing, the relevant site, audit date, and rating define the evidence; BSCI is not product quality certification.

OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 — Textile Testing

OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 addresses testing of textiles for harmful substances. Coverage depends on the certified articles and components, such as fabric, lining, prints and trims. A fabric certificate alone does not establish finished-pouch coverage.

Global Recycled Standard (GRS)

GRS concerns recycled content and chain of custody, with additional processing requirements. For recycled-fabric pouches, the certified material, supply-chain scope, and relevant transaction documentation need to support the claim made for the order.

REACH — EU Chemical Requirements

REACH is the EU's chemical regulation. Relevant requirements for bag fabric, prints, coatings, and trims need to be assessed for the actual substances, materials, and intended use.

PPWR — EU Packaging Requirements

PPWR is the EU regulation on packaging and packaging waste. Its relevance to pouches used as packaging and the packing supplied with an order depends on the applicable packaging category and requirements for the intended market.

Certification and Testing FAQ

Answers about document availability, coverage, verification, and testing for individual orders.

Documents may cover the production site, a fabric or component, or tests on a finished pouch. Which you need depends on your purchasing requirements, market and materials. Each document must apply to your order, based on its holder, scope, dates and current status.
Only within its stated scope. A fabric, supplier, production-site or test-sample document does not automatically cover every finished pouch or component. It must apply to the materials and product in your order.
Check the reference number, holder, covered products or site, issuer, dates, and stated scope. Use the issuing body's verification service where available, and confirm that the document matches the material or product in your order.
A relevant copy may be available on request. We first check whether it can be shared and agree any disclosure limits for sensitive information.
Yes. We can handle third-party test submissions and provide product samples. The tests, sample requirements, laboratory, fees, and timing need to be confirmed for the project. Results apply to the samples and tests identified in the report.
